Get to Know Me
Welcome to the online manifestation of my personality. Scroll to learn about my writing, editing background, Exposed Bone, and more.

What I Write
I grew up in rural Utah. Throughout my childhood, my family traveled around the United States, so I grew familiar with road trips and airports. My parents encouraged cultural exchange, historical context, and a healthy curiosity. My writing reflects my love for people, places, and experiences as well as the importance of discovering and appreciating identity. I try hard to nourish my sense of wonder and let it help me create.

What I Edit
I'm passionate about the nitty-gritty of editing. Line and copy edits are my bread and butter. In my undergrad, I gained experience editing Kolob Canyon Review and copyediting for SUU News, and now I have Exposed Bone.

My Passion Project
After we worked so well together as EIC and assistant EIC on the Kolob Canyon Review project, Scum asked if I wanted to start a lit mag, and of course I said yes. We love getting to read work from all over the world, collaborate with our contributors and designers on edits and layout, and publish work we feel needs to be out in the world. Plus, we love getting to know others in the lit mag/publishing community. We recently went to LA for AWP, and it was one of the most rewarding (and overwhelming) experiences I've had to date.
